Chocolate Truffle cake
Size: 16″ x 12″
Mix:
1 cup butter
1/3 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 cup of milk
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips
Cream together:
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup cream
Preheat oven to 325 F.
Cream butter and sugar together.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add cocoa powder and mix well.
Mix in the milk, mixing with a spatula.
Add chocolate chips and blend well.
Scrap down the sides and bottom of the bowl.
Add the cream.
Mix well.
Divide the cake batter evenly between two greased cake pans.
Bake 30 minutes.
Cool in the pans on a rack.
Remove from pans.
Dust with powdered sugar and then put back in the fridge.
Chocolate Truffle Frosting
Ingredients:
1/3 cup butter
1 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
1 cup whipping cream
4 ounces chocolate
Granulated sugar
Crushed chocolate or crushed peppermint candy
Mix the ingredients and spread them over the cake.
Beat the whipping cream until stiff.
Spread over the cake.
Stir the chocolate or peppermint candy with a stick of butter until well blended.
Cut the cake into pieces and serve.
Chocolate Truffle cake Tips
