Ingredients

Here’s a simple recipe for a chocolate truffle cake:

dark chocolate, chopped
unsalted butter
granulated sugar
4 large eggs
100g all-purpose flour
30g cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
In a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water, melt the chocolate and butter together until smooth.
Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until combined.
Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and stir until combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
